Anti-wrinkle

Botox® Onabotulinium toxin A is derived from a naturally occurring bacteria (Clostridium botulinium) and is a prescription only product which helps relax muscles in a specific area.

Skinpen® Precision Microneedling

Profilho

Profilho is a fantastic treatment if you are looking for a youthful boost to your skin but don’t want conventional dermal fillers. Profilho has the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid on the market and is therefore often described as “an injectable moisturiser”

The unique technology within Profilho means it is able not only to give deep hydration to the skin, but acts as a remodelling and regenerative agent to build and boost collagen and strengthen elastin within the skin structure.

Profilho is a non- cross linked, concentrated hyaluronic acid product, whereas conventional fillers composed of a cross linked hyaluronic acid. Conventional fillers are thicker and are often used to treat deep lines and folds developing in the lower half of the face.

Profilho on the other hand is a thinner product which is excellent at tightening and lifting the skin without adding volume on the face like a filler would. It has an overall hydrating, plumping, lifting and rejuvenating effect on the skin.

Profilho can be used to treat the signs of ageing on your face, neck, inner arms, stomach and hands.

Treatment involves superficially injecting the product into just a few strategic points. Platelet-Rich Plasma (Face and Hairloss)

This exciting, all-natural innovative treatment is very popular among celebrities (Kim Kardashian, Tiger Woods, Angelina Jolie to name a few) thanks to its naturality, minimal downtime and safety. Platelet- rich Plasma (PRP) uses your own plasma to accelerate healing and tissue regeneration in various areas of the face, scalp and body.

The treatment involves drawing a little blood (10ml) usually from the forearm and passing it through a high-speed centrifuge system to separate out the plasma from the blood cells. Plasma concentrate contains platelets and various proteins including growth factors (GFs).

The plasma concentration is then injected into the area of tissue that requires restoration and regeneration.

There are many different PRP systems available but they are not created equal.

Dr Anika Patel undertakes PRP with the award- winning, gold standard Arthrex centrifuge and double- syringe system (ACP) to ensure closed, rapid and simple production of the platelet-rich plasma.

While conventional PRP preparation procedures can take up to 45 minutes the ACP system can develop plasma in just 5-7 minutes. Furthermore, no synthetic separation gels or anti-clotting agents are used with this system, so the PRP is separated from other blood components in a purely physical process.

The double syringe design offers complete protection from exposure to air, putting safety at the forefront by lowering the risk of infections from contamination.

This treatment can be performed as a standalone, and plasma injected into areas of concern (eg scalp, under-eyes, scars, stretch marks etc) or in conjunction with microneedling to enhance skin rejuvenation and stimulate collagen production all over the face/neck.

Chroma Polynucleotides (PDRNS)

Polynucleotides work by stimulating your body's own natural healing processes, helping to boost collagen production and restore skin elasticity. This can lead to a brighter, smoother, and more youthful-looking complexion.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening has become an increasingly popular way in which to improve and enhance a smile in recent years. This is because not only have we become more aware of the ways in which our smile can impact our lives and self-confidence but because tooth whitening itself has become easier to apply and more successful in its results.

Teeth whitening is minimally invasive and can even be done entirely in the comfort of your own home should you wish.

Dr Patel is a provider of 2 premium whitening systems- Boutique Whitening and Enlighten Whitening.

Before deciding which system is best for a client, Dr Patel will undertake a full oral examination and discuss which treatment will be most suitable based on her clinical findings, a client’s lifestyle, and smile ambitions.

After checking your teeth for suitability for teeth whitening, Dr Patel will undertake iTero digital scans of your teeth and send those scans to the Enlighten Laboratory electronically.The Lab then make custom made whitening trays for your teeth, which Dr Patel will fit for you and show you how to use the special Enlighten whitening gel with your new whitening trays. We review your teeth whitening results after 2-3 weeks.

These aligners can be taken off and on by the patient, allowing for a more flexible teeth-straightening experience than conventional braces. Their clear material also makes them ‘practically invisible’, while the patient is wearing them.

Dr Patel offers a free complimentary Invisalign® consultation at The Dental Lounge in Wimbledon, during which all your treatment goals and concerns can be discussed. If after an initial complimentary consultation with Dr Patel, you decide to go ahead with Invisalign®, she will then undertake a digital scan of your mouth. This will be sent off to the experts at Invisalign® who will make your custom aligners for you. You will wear each set of aligners for one week, before switching them out for another set.

Clients are booked in every 4 weeks with Dr Patel for in clinic reviews. This is to make sure that tooth movement is progressing according to the treatment plan and to ensure your teeth continue to move in the direction we want them to.

While the exact treatment time varies from patient to patient, most patients using Invisalign® wear their aligners for four to eighteen months.
